Beachwood Villa pool with white pool sofas, sun loungers under umbrellas, and palm trees on a bright summer day in Providenciales Turks and Caicos
Why Beachwood

Summer in Turks and Caicos, at the right rate

Most families don't realize that summer in Turks and Caicos is one of the best-value windows of the entire year. The weather is hot but reliably sunny — daytime highs in the mid-80s°F, with strong trade winds keeping things bearable. The water is warm year-round (around 80°F in summer). And the rates are 30-40% lower than peak winter season.

Beachwood is particularly well-suited to summer stays. The villa sits on one of the highest points of Providenciales, so the breezes are constant and the elevation keeps temperatures comfortable. The pool is the center of summer life — palm-shaded, with sun loungers and umbrellas. Babalua Beach is a short walk from the villa for the kids' beach mornings.

Plus: the kids are out of school, you have flexibility on dates, and you can do the longer 10-14 night stay that summer allows but Christmas weeks don't. The trip your family will remember.

Common Questions

Things to know

How hot does it get in Turks and Caicos in summer?

Summer daytime highs typically range from 84-88°F (29-31°C), with nighttime lows around 78-80°F. Humidity is moderate and consistent trade winds keep things comfortable, especially at Beachwood's elevated location. The ocean temperature is around 80°F — warm enough for hours of swimming.

Will it be too crowded in summer?

Quite the opposite. Summer is shoulder season in Turks and Caicos — the beaches are emptier, restaurant reservations are easier to get, and the island is at its quietest. Beachwood's setting near Babalua Beach means you'll often have stretches of beach to yourselves.

Are activities and restaurants fully open in summer?

Yes. Provo's restaurant and activity scene operates year-round. Some restaurants close briefly for renovations in September (the slowest month), but June, July, and August see virtually full operations. Boat charters, snorkeling, paddleboarding, kiteboarding, golf, and spa services are all fully available.

How much can we save versus peak winter season?

Summer rates at Beachwood are typically 30-40% lower than December and February peak weeks. For a 10-night stay, that's a meaningful difference — often enough to upgrade to private chef nights or longer boat charters. Contact our concierge for current summer pricing.

Is the villa good for younger kids in summer?

Excellent. The villa is single-level for the bedrooms, the pool is fenced and gated, Babalua Beach has calm shallow water with no waves, and the air conditioning is reliable in every room. Cribs, high chairs, baby gates, and pool floats are all available on request. Most family guests find their toddlers and young kids do beautifully here.
