A Day at Beachwood

Six hours, six moods,
one very long table

Most luxury rentals sell you a property. Beachwood sells you a day — six distinct moods of light, six different ways the villa works. Below, what an ordinary day actually feels like, from first coffee to last drink.

A guest relaxing on a lounger by the pool deck under palms in the quiet morning light at Beachwood Villa, Providenciales Turks and Caicos
Sunrise

Coffee on the terrace, before anyone else is up.

The villa sits on one of the highest points of Providenciales, and the first thing you notice each morning is how quiet it is up here. The wind in the palms. The reef line catching the early light. A long pull of coffee, the day still ahead.

Early light over the quiet sand and calm water at Babalua Beach, a five-minute walk from Beachwood Villa in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos
Late Morning

Five minutes on foot, to Babalua.

Beach bag in hand. Babalua is the locals' beach — calm, snorkel-clear, sea turtles most days, almost no one else. You stay until lunch, or until someone gets hungry. Whichever comes first. If the water pulls you in, our guide to a week on the water maps out the rest.

Midday

Long swim, longer lunch.

Back at the villa, the pool waits. Laps, then loungers, then lunch from the kitchen on the terrace under the umbrella. The kind of meal that takes two hours because no one wants to leave the table.

Late Afternoon

The light goes golden. So does everything else.

An hour before dinner, the villa softens. Towels on the loungers, salt on your skin, someone playing music from the kitchen. A quiet swim, a slow walk down the terrace. The kind of hour you'd build a whole vacation around.

Long oak dining table set for sunset dinner at Beachwood Villa with palm trees silhouetted against the orange sky and the ocean horizon visible in Providenciales Turks and Caicos
Sunset

The long table, set for ten.

Some nights, a private chef. Some nights, takeout from Coco Bistro and a bottle of wine. Some nights, a barbeque with the kids running around. The setting is the same — the long oak table on the terrace, the ocean turning pink, the candles on as the wind drops.

Beachwood Villa fire pit lit at night with the modular outdoor sofa, palms silhouetted against the dark sky, the villa glowing through glass walls behind, and the pool reflecting the firelight in Providenciales Turks and Caicos
Evening

Glasses raised, fire pit lit.

The villa at night is the version everyone remembers. The fire pit on, the stars out, the modernist house glowing behind the conversation. Ten people who came as a group leaving as something closer than that.

Three Trips, One Villa

The same house,
three different weeks

Beachwood works for three core kinds of trip — and works differently for each. Find yours below.

i.

The family trip

Two parents, four kids, the grandparents in the master. Cribs, high chairs, baby gear waiting on arrival. The pool and Babalua Beach for the kids. A night out at Coco Bistro for the adults, with concierge-arranged sitter at the villa.

ii.

The four-couple trip

Two friends, four people, two king beds. The kind of week where the days drift and the dinner conversations get longer. Boat charters during the day, fire pit at night. The Garden Suite and the Pool Suite tucked at opposite ends of the house.

iii.

The friend group

Eight people who haven't been together in three years. Two kings, two queens, four ensuites — no one negotiates the bathroom. Long meals around the oak table, late nights on the terrace, the villa absorbing all of it.

"The location is fantastic. The local beach was very nice and quite secluded."
